TASK 1: Who Is your Target Audience
You have to find out who you want to set your blog up in front of. Here are some ideas that can help:

Cupcakes
Pies
Italian Food
French Food
Recipes
ETC......
As you can see, your niche can be as broad as you want it to be, or you can make it as specific as you want. just make sure that you don't choose a niche that you aren't familiar with. If you are not knowledgeable about pies, then don't write about that...simple.
TASK 2: Choose A Domain (Free Or Paid)
The next step is going to be choosing a domain name.

I recommend you choose something that is either very targted to what the theme of your site is going to be about (example: Cupcake blog), or choose a site that is very brandable. Either of which is completely fine.
